The building is on the way, land is getting prepped for slab, daiquiris are the devil

Sorry about missing last week, got caught up in writing a paper for school and completely missed it. School this semester is taking up a lot of my free time along with being too close to a daiquiri shop. This particular daiquiri shop has a punch card that after 10 drinks you get a drink free and I took that as a personal challenge. Needless to say I have had a few hangovers over the last week but I got my free drink. No regrets, well maybe some. There has been a lot of unneeded stress at work that should start to wane by the end of this week as we lead into the holidays. Only time will tell in that area.

As far the rest of the crew, Theo got his cast removed this week and is now in a hard brace that he can take off and get some relief from wearing something on his arm. We have also embraced living at the beach and are treating it as a long vacation (See first paragraph) and trying to enjoy ourselves a little bit. The kids are wanting to be at the land for Christmas and New Years but that will depend on if we can get the power pole up. I am not sure I want to be in a camper with all the kids for the holidays while we have the space at the beach house but time will tell.

Be sure to watch our first video and like and subscribe for future content. The video is a bit of a mishmash while we are still working out the logistics of what to film and how we want to tell our story. Hope you enjoy.

Progress has been going on at the land even with the tractor down as I am still waiting for the replacement radiator. I was able to put some more of the pasture fence up to keep things moving along. I also got a contractor in to start prepping the site for concrete since we approved the latest revision to the plans and are waiting for approval from the code office. Fingers crossed. We also lined up a plumber to do the rough in work once the dirt work gets completed. Still not feeling real yet but it’s about super real as the building company called yesterday and set up a delivery date. Its coming a few weeks earlier than I thought so I need to get cracking on getting things ready for it to go up. So excited for this to get started.
