Metal Has Arrived
As the slab is getting formed up, the building materials have arrived but we are still waiting for permits.

Looks like I missed another week and I am a day late on this post. Life is getting hectic with the holidays approaching. Everything seems to be pilling on at the same time but we are trudging through. Progress on the land is moving at a fast pace now with the forms for the concrete going up. We are now waiting on permits before the plumber will come out and do the rough plumbing for the slab. I also need to talk to the concrete crew as they have seemed to put a slop on the forms for the porch portion of the forms and this will not due as the metal building post will not correctly line up if installed on this slope.
School is keeping me busy with writing research papers and I tend to lose track of time (and dates apparently) while trying to stay on track with everything else. Nothing else to really report for the last two weeks. The kids are doing their best to keep me and Sarah annoyed while we move towards the holidays. The animals are getting restless being cramped in a house all day as the house we are at does not have a fenced yard that they can just run around in so they can only go out if supervised. Hope to keep on top of weekly posts but please be patient if I struggle.
Be sure to watch our first video and like and subscribe for future content. The video is a bit of a mishmash while we are still working out the logistics of what to film and how we want to tell our story. Hope you enjoy.
THE BUILDING HAS ARRIVED!!! I just received the biggest erector set of my life and I am chomping at the bit to get it up. But I have to wait for the concrete to be poured and do a little curing before that can happen. The plan is to get the concrete poured within the first week of December and to hopefully put the steel for the framing up during the week between Christmas and New Year as I will be off from work for that week. Keep your fingers crossed that the concrete is ready by then and if not I will have to find another way as I can't afford to keep renting machines over several weekends to get the frame erected.
