Life Just Keep Getting More Hectic
Life just getting more and more hectic, even as we knock things off our to-do list. From stress at work to car accidents, the stresses just keep coming.

Life just getting more and more hectic, even as we knock things off our to-do list. When we decided to go forward with our plan to sell our house and start building on our land, we had to make some tough financial decisions. We have taken a risk in buying our camper, but this was needed to force us to make the leap of selling our house. The plan is to use the profits from selling our house to start the construction on our land as we utilize the campers flexibility to continue to live life. But as we struggle to finish the ever-shrinking list of to-do items on the house and other projects, life always likes to throw curveballs that stretch our patience and our sanity.
I had some major changes at work that have taxed me mentally that have left me tired a braindead by the time I got home, making it hard for me to focus and slowing any progress I had hoped to make this week. I continue to have struggles with my recent diagnosis of diabetes and high cholesterol that have forced all of us to look at how and what we eat while we try to transition from living in a 4 bedroom house into a camper. On top of that, I was also in an accident one day on my way home that left me rattled and added to my already fatigued mind. But as always, we look to the future and push through the tough times and all the hard work now will make it worth it in the end.
One of the projects I am excited about and also sad about wrapping up is a project I have been working off and on for the last 17 years, a 1932 Ford Roadster. This project was a way for me to hone my skills when I was working in the custom automotive industry and was a joy, while also being a place of added stress. I am happy to be putting it on the market for someone to add the finishing touches but at the same time am sad to see it go as it has been a part of my life for so long. At this moment in our life, there is just no room for the car, and I couldn’t just let it sit as I have done in the past. The car deserves a better life where it can be driven and admired as was the intent when I started the project so many years ago.
As we adjust to our new way of life, we will start documenting everything through video so keep a lookout for those videos hopefully in the near future. This leap out of our comfort zone has helped us look into how we were living and how much we can be better for ourselves and our kids. We want to take you with us on our journey, through the good and the bad, through the fun times and the stressful moments.
“Be willing to step outside your comfort zone once in a while; take the risks in life that seem worth taking. The ride might not be as predictable if you’d just planted your feet and stayed put, but it will be a heck of a lot more interesting.”
