Brown Recluse Spiders Are No Joke

Still healing after the spider bite has slowed progress, Cruisin' the Coast is going down, and Theo got a new cast.

Recovery has been slow after my spider bite. Between the bite and the medication for the bite, I have been slow to get anything done. It’s been almost two weeks since I was bitten and I finally feel well enough to get out and moving. I was able to go to the land earlier in the week and was able to change out the front loader quick-connect on the tractor but it took a lot more effort than it should have. The bite/medicine combo kick me in the butt and I was unable to do anything after that. I plan on staying in the camper Saturday night so I can get an early start Sunday while the temperatures are nice and cool and before the sun starts to cook me.

Not much else to report for this week but things are starting to move along. Architectural plans are in work and we are waiting for some estimates for the concrete to come in. Sorry for the short post this week but hopefully as we get busier, we will have more to write about.

Be sure to watch our first video and like and subscribe for future content. The video is a bit of a mishmash while we are still working out the logistics of what to film and how we want to tell our story. Hope you enjoy.

This week is also Cruisin' the Coast, so not much work was going to get done anyway. I can not pass up going to see some nice cars. We spent a little time Wednesday night checking out some of the vehicles. Friday night we spent a few hours down in Bay St Louis checking out the scene and will be going back today. Hot rods are an expensive hobby but it is definitely better than drugs. I guess this will be the last little hoorah before my class starts on Monday while we attempt to build our house. Last little clam before the storm.

Theo had his large cast removed from when he flipped the go-cart and broke his arm. He now has a smaller cast and is much happier that he can move his elbow. Life lesson learned for that one for sure. Now he will be less likely to hit me in the head as he walks past me when I’m sitting down, and I’m thankful for that.
